Magens Bay - St. Thomas, USVI

We first cruised with Royal Caribbean on board the Song of Norway. We visited Puerto Rico, Martinique, Barbados, Antigua, and St. Thomas. St. Thomas was the last stop before heading back to Puerto Rico. Charlotte Amalie, the capital city of St. Thomas is a tourist mecca with one of the finest shopping areas in the Caribbean. A curious thing about the U.S Virgin Islands (USVI) is that people drive left-hand steering wheel automobiles, but on the left-hand side of the road. Perhaps, it is a legacy from the time the USVI were a territory of Denmark.

The highlight of the trip was Magens Bay in St. Thomas, ranked one of the top 10 beautiful beaches in the world by National Geographic Magazine. The sand was so fine, the water was very clear. Since the sky was overcast, the colors of the water are slightly faded. Magens Bay was beautiful, nonetheless.
